Accidentally Derivative Studios sprang from a simple desire: to stop waiting on outside opportunities and begin creating our own chances to explore creativity. We began with a podcast where Jason and Marcus chatted about anything and everything, most of it complete nonsense, and as things shifted and Jason pursued his own projects, Marcus recruited a new host who perfectly fit the vision he had for a brand new show: an animated possum named Possum Rob. PR had been the podcast’s mascot up until then, content to remain a static image, but he was finally called up to the majors (that’s a sportsball metaphor), and ever since he’s been loudly sharing his opinions on absolutely everything.
